The news came down this morning. The Atos and Siemens Groups have decided to extend their strategic partnership, which started in 2011, for a period of 5 years. This partnership is part of agreements worth €3 billion over these five years and the Atos Group will thus invest in innovation and digital modernization with the aim of advancing major areas of innovation for the Siemens company.
The extension of this partnership between the two groups is good news for Atos shareholders. Indeed, Siemens and this French company announced this Wednesday morning an extension of their strategic partnership that was launched in 2011 and whose aim is toto accelerate Siemens' objectives in the segments of service modernization and digitalization, data-centric digital, cloud transformation and cyber security.
This new partnership has been signed in the framework of agreements worth 3 billion euros over 5 years. It was signed separately with Siemens AG, Siemens Energu AG and Siemens Healthineers AG and concerns existing services but also new activities. Through this agreement, the Atos Group will also invest in the field of innovation and digital modernization with the aim of advancing important innovation topics for its partner Siemens. Speaking this morning, Siemens' Chief Information Officer said: "We are delighted to extend and strengthen our partnership with Atos through this new framework agreement, which aims to accelerate our transformation and support our strategic digital objectives.»
For his part, the Director of Global Operations for the French group Atos also spoke this morning about the objectives of this new partnership. He said that in order to better meet Siemens' requirements for all of its activities, the Atos Group will provide integrated and state-of-the-art digital solutions such asconnected work environment or application modernization, the operation of its new hybrid cloud platform, digital platforms or end-to-end integration and security.
We also know that Atos will deploy an innovative data-driven model as part of this agreement that will further leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning, as stated by the Chief Operating Officer in his press release this morning.
